Schofields is a rising neighborhood on the outskirts of Sydney, New South Wales province of Australia.
Schofields is situated in the Blacktown local government area at 45 kilometers (28 mi) west of the central business district of Sydney. It is part of North West Growth Area in Greater Western Sydney
John Schofield was sent for smuggling to the colony of New South Wales when he was just 17. At the moment he had become a Cheshire silk weaver.
In 1821, he was transported aboard the HMS Minerva and was assigned to work on his farm at Baulkham Hills for Thomas Harley, a free-settler. Schofield was given a Ticket of Leave in 1828, which allowed him to reside comfortably within the Parramatta area. In 1829, he married his former employer 's daughter Bridget Harley.
Schofields Park is home to the Riverstone Schofields Junior Soccer Football Club and Schofields Cricket Club.
