Kellyville is a suburb situated in The Hills Shire in the Hills District Region of Greater Western Sydney, New South Wales, Australia. It is about 36 kilometres north-west of the Sydney central business.
Kellyville was named by Hugh Kelly, a former convict who arrived in New South Wales aboard The Rolla in 1803. Kelly owned the Kellyville Estate and the Kellyville hotel, "Bird-In-Hand."
Portions of several early land grants were purchased and subdivided into farmlets as part of the 'Kellyville Estate', thereby giving the suburb its name.
There are several parks and reserves to explore.
These are the Golden Grove Reserve that featured a junior play unit, swing set, see saw, timber bridge, and a covered picnic table. The Wrights Road Reserve which has a fabulous array of equipment, suitable for young kids and plenty of space to pull up a picnic blanket. Also, the Kellyville Rotary Park, provides a large open space for play equipment, swings, little merry-go-round, monkey bars and plenty of green space to run around.
Kellyville has 4 public schools such as Kellyville Public School , Sherwood Ridge Public School, Kellyville High School and Beaumont Hills Primary School.
