Dural is a suburb and part of the Hills District of Sydney, in the state of New South Wales, Australia. It sits about 36 kilometres north-west of the Sydney central business district in the local government areas of Hornsby Shire and The Hills Shire.
The suburb’s name Dural is derived from Dooral-Dooral which is an Aboriginal name that means a smoking hollow tree or `burning log`. The name Dooral appeared in an April 1817 map of Surveyor Richard Dundiate.
The Fagan Park is a wonderful place to explore as there is plenty to do and see. It is an expansive garden with an eco garden and large grassy areas.
